Terms of Use
Last Updated: September 17, 2025
By accessing and using BBCodec Studio (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
Description of Service
BBCodec Studio is a free, browser-based tool that allows users to convert, edit, and manipulate video and audio files using the FFmpeg library compiled for WebAssembly. All processing is done locally on the user's device, and no files are uploaded to our servers.
User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the content (the "User Content") that you process through the Service. You agree not to use the Service to process any User Content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
You also agree to respect licensing restrictions of third-party software:
- Certain FFmpeg features are licensed under the GPL. BBCodec Studio is designed so that GPL components cannot be executed automatically.
- Any commands or filters requiring GPL components are highlighted and blocked. Users must remove or modify these commands before execution.
- It is strictly forbidden to attempt to bypass these restrictions or run GPL components in ways that would violate.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk. We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service, and you acknowledge that the processing of media files can be complex and may occasionally produce unexpected results or failures.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BBCodec Studio and its operators shall not be liable for any damages, including indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, or data, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
- Any errors, glitches, or unexpected results arising from the processing of media files using FFmpeg or other underlying libraries.
- Any corruption, loss, or modification of your User Content during processing in the browser.
Because all media processing is performed locally using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, BBCodec Studio cannot guarantee accuracy, compatibility, or output quality of converted or edited files. Users acknowledge that media conversion can be complex and may occasionally produce unexpected results.
This limitation does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
